So basically, if you can see it it's not a Cetti's Warbler (it must be something else)...
...which means that you never see a Cetti's Warbler, confirming that "if you can see it it's not a Cetti's Warbler!"
Arrrgh! My head hurts! 
PS. I see Cetti's Warblers with reasonable regularity when I actually make the effort to spend time looking for them.
