| | | Cetti's or not Cetti's, that is the question? Can anyone tell me what bird is singing like this? I was thinking Cetti's Warblers. Cetti's 1? - YouTube Cetti's 2? - YouTube
Thanks

| | | Re: Cetti's or not Cetti's, that is the question? Thanks both. I should edited the plural. They were the same bird, 95 % sure.
If number 1 is a Cetti's, number 2 is probably one too.

| | | Re: Cetti's or not Cetti's, that is the question? Interesting! I'm only familiar with the Cetti's loud, explosive call. Didn't know they did twittering too!

Cheers,
Adam | We've got one on Wat tyler who will do the lous normal call and sort of a twittering call like the one in the recording but Ive not heard it go on for that long before.
I reckon your right though. A goldfinch would have probably flew off if you stood right next to the bush and I've never had one sing to me from inside a bush before, but a cetti's would do that, especially if you have a camera in your hand and want to photograph it! |

This is a Cetti's Warbler in sub-song though (with the first recording also sounding like it isn't really giving it it's all!).

| | | Re: Cetti's or not Cetti's, that is the question? Thanks Roy. I must admit it wasn't as explosive as I recall. And the camera mic isn't great. I hoped someone would know though. Thanks for the confirmation.
