Who's nest?

I found a Small Blue egg on the ground today. I hunted for the nest it must have come from and found an empty shallow nest made of moss. I assume the egg fell out but it could have been predated I suppose. Could be be a dunnock's or a robin's?

Sounds like hedge sparrow/dunnock their eggs are light blue. Robins has browny red speckles. Pity about the nest

Not sure, but I think blackbirds are blue. too

I know the dunnocks have built another nest somewhere else in the garden so I hope they will still raise a brood.

I know it isn't blackbird as I know what their nests and eggs look like - and yes, you are right, their eggs are blue as well.
