| | | Cranes at Welney WWT Reserve Common (or European) Cranes have been present on the Welney Washes for several days now. I was there on Tuesday and there were 10 present, with the same number being seen the day before - all clearly visible from the main observatory
I also saw two Marsh Harriers, a Kingfisher, some Whooper Swans and a Curlew Sandpiper plus the usual seasonal ducks, geese and waders - well worth a visit.

Thank you Norman - I really enjoyed your company Quote:

Nige | Just a couple of distant record shots I'm afraid and certainly nothing worth publishing here or elsewhere on the web. To be honest, I was so fascinated by just watching the birds and listening to Norman that it was at least an hour before I even thought about taking a photo!
