Raptors

I have to spend the day near Dunstable in the next few weeks time, are either Kings wood or the Tring reservoir area, any good for raptor spotting. anywhere within 10 miles north or west of Dunstable would be ok.

Wilstone Reservoir, Tring is pretty good. I had Red Kite, Buzzard, Hobby, Kestrel and Sparrowhawk there a couple of weeks back.

I agree with Adam on that .. i go there when i can..mind you personally i have not seen a sprawk there, but red kites, i see one while ago , right low it was

Try heading for any of the more hilly areas nearby (such as Sundon Hills Country Park, Barton Hills, or the Pegsdon Hills, which are all to the north-east of Dunstable).

Buzzards, Sparrowhawk and Kestrel should all be seen fairly easily, Red Kites are likely to be seen, and other species might be encountered.
