| | | Birds & fruit... Ok so I have some apples, but having never given apples to birds wasnt sure...should I just lob em out whole or chop em up.
Also have sone leftover grapes...is it ok to throw throw them out for the birds? And again, chopped or whole
I don't usually put fruit out for the birds so wanted to check first :-) |

| | | Re: Birds & fruit... You can give them whole, or cut the apples in half - makes it easier for the bird to eat them. Doesn't matter if they are partly rotten, they still enjoy them. Yes to grapes - the blackbirds love them!!

Hmm maybe I can put together a list of what's eating my apples in the garden

Haven't seen any bullfinches here yet so would be quite exciting if they came in for it!

| | | Re: Birds & fruit... And of course the Fieldfares and Redwings when they shortly start to arrive for the winter should come in for apples if you have a reasonably sized garden and/or nearby fields. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
