Any one have any ideas what these 2 could be. I know they are not very good pics, but they flew past me as i was trying to reply to a text from my daughter.
I saw them take off from the waters edge and by the time i had dropped my phone and got camera to my eye this was the best i could manage. The photo's were from the thames foreshore at barking.  
any help much appreciated

The black 'armpits' suggest Grey Plover.

Not much to go on in frist pic but argee with adam looks good for gray plover in the second pic them arm pits do show up well  MIKE |

Cheers guys, just looked at some pics of grey plovers see what u mean about the black arm-pits. Sopmerthing to look out for in future
