| | | All say Ahhh This guys been hanging around my garden in this state since around June. Seems to be coping OK takes his morning bath and eats well. Just in a bit of a state.......... Last year there were two of 'em, don't know if this was one though.. |

| | | Re: All say Ahhh Its just body moult, this is the reason you see less blackbirds around at this time of year as they are more prone to predation in this state. So they hide and skulk until they have completed the moult. Some birds do it in a more even manor, others like this lose clumps. |

This is not just body moult this chaps been like this since June. It's probably moult related somehow but I can't even see any pin feathers coming through. Last year there were two baldies on the scene.
