| | | Confirmation of I.D. Please. Hi, I have these as Kittiwakes. Can someone confirm or deny as I'm a bit of a divvy with sea-birds.
Cheers, Jack.

| | | Re: Confirmation of I.D. Please. That's cool, thanks. I ask because ever since I was a boy, but not necessarily concerning myself about ornithology as such, kittiwakes have been referred to as common on our sea-cliffs at Arbroath but, looking at the R.S.P.B distribution map, there's a clear gap between just north of the border and the north coast of Scotland and they're designated as 'Amber'. On recent trips, when I've been paying more attention, there is an obviously healthy representation of kittiwakes in our area. I suppose it only goes to show that there are no absolutes in these matters.

| | | Re: Confirmation of I.D. Please. Can I crave your indulgence once more? I'm reviewing some of my Summer photo's and have just turned up this one. Would this be a juvenile kittiwake? The beak colour is throwing me a little. Is it normal for juvenile kittiwakes?
Thanks, in anticipation.
