Saw this young Crow continually picking up the shuttlecock and dropping - had to try to get a pick (through my study window). Immediately after it was mobbed and chased away by a couple of Magpies - probably their turn on court. |

How about a caption?
My first thought would be banned by the Mods though. |

Young corvids are so funny when they are trying to learn about the world. We've had some young magpies here this last couple of weeks. First they were in the garden, creeping up on some rabbit ornaments we have - obviously thinking they were real. Then they were out in our field, daring each other to pull our pony's tail! I am sure I've actually seen them playing tag too - they rush about after each other, until one catches up with another, then the roles are reversed and they go the other way. |

| | | Re: Anyone for badders I watched a young crow dropping stones into the centre of a dandelion recently and they're always droppint bits and pieces into a dish of water that I leave out.
