Thumbs up Migrating Osprey
Moved down to Barton on Sea just a month ago from Gloustershire not expecting much wildlife as I used to live near Slimbridge and the Cotswold but am happy today. I have just this morning seen a migrating osprey slowly glided over my road heading for the coast. Great.

nice one ,ive lived in gloucestershire for years and have never seen an osprey,had to go to somerset levels to see one on migration.

Welcome to WAB

Ospreys are quite common down here this time of the year, so with luck you could get more sightings.
At the moment there are at least 3 in the Poole/Arne area to the west of you, and we've got a couple at Newtown on the Island, a few miles to the east of you.
The RSPB reserve at Arne is well worth a visit any time of the year. Their website has a regular diary of recent sightings:
