There were a few near breeding plumage in the flock around me at Caister but I couldn't pin any of them down for a photo. They are real crackers when they are in full breeding plumage. Possibly one of the smartest looking migrant birds we get over here.
I have had various reports on those 12 Laplands. I bumped into a chap not long after I met you at Titchwell and he stated that he was with the party of birders that found those 12. Likewise I have seen people that reckoned that they weren't Laplands. The only way you will prove it is if you were to see them yourself. Mind you I had 8 there last year but in the fields on the Titchwell reserve side of the road.
