I went ahead about bought a 90l metal dustbin and some bungee cord to keep the lid on in windy weather.
I'm also following up nightshade's suggestion of a recycled tub to store my other seed in |

| | | Re: Bird seed storage We've got a few bright blue plastic buckets with tight lids that we got from one of the local butchers. They had been used previously for various dry ingredients that the butchers use and would just have been chucked out.
Hubby gave them a good clean out and they are ideal. They are big enough to hold a reasonable amount, but small enough to be easily moveable and we stacke them 3 high. We use them for Sunflower Seeds, Nijer, Peanuts and Suet Balls, and they are kept in the garage.
