| | | Cheeky the Robin - Great photo I can't reproduce the photo here as it's on the Big Chill forum but for all you Robin lovers out there you should see this.
Wouldn't it be wonderful to have that kind of relationship with a Wild bird? |

They even nested in his garden in the end. He also had a similar relationship to a Wren (not eating from the mouth but would come onto his hand). When I went over there the Robin actually came onto my hand also but the Wren stayed clear.
He also introduced me to a Nuthatch at Sandwell Country Park that would settle on your hand and eat from it. Magical moments and I don't think you can beat the thrill of anything wild that trusts you so much that it would make close contact in this way.

| | | Re: Cheeky the Robin - Great photo This is a great photo especially the way the wings have been captured. The robins that visit our garden are very friendly and don't mind coming close to me waiting for their titbits, but if I move towards them they are off. Fancy being trusted so much by a wild creature, it must be a lovely feeling. |

Robins are so up front, we know of a few that will happily feed from the hand. Here's a shot of one in the middle of Sherwood Forest:
This bird followed us around for over an hour. It eventually landed on her shoulder, then onto her hand and took the food. A magic sight and experience. |
