| | | Egg for ID Found this near a conifer plantation in upland Wales. It was about 4 cm long if I put the 2 parts together. Any ideas? |

| | | Re: Egg for ID Hi,
I would go for a nightjars egg as well. Many years ago, I sat on a bank in a birch plantation with bracken undergrowth and noticed 2 purple tinged eggs next to me. They were nightjars and I had nearly sat on them!

| | | Re: Egg for ID Thank you both for your replies. Assuming you are correct this is quite interesting since there are no nightjar records from this site. Think I may have to do an evening visit to see if I can find any. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
