| | | Re: Odd corvid/woodpecker looking bird It was defo corvid/woodpecker like though I've never seen a green woodpecker (or any woodpecker for that matter) in the flesh but moved like a corvid. Defo too big to be a flycatcher. The vid that The Woodman posted fits pretty well with the only difference is that the upper body was more off white/beige than white.

| | Re: Odd corvid/woodpecker looking bird Though Nutcracker might be a possibility it is also an incredibly rare bird in the UK which is less than annual, though occasional irruptions do occur.
Given the rarity it's more likely to be something more common, though can't eliminate the possibility. I guess it will always be a "maybe" without any stronger evidence. |
