I'm just building my lifelist. It's not a conventional one, just birds I get photos of.

I am not a computer geek but it's quite easy to write simple code myself to get the web site. And to buy a .co.uk URL costs virtually nothing, (£3 a year). And to buy a small basic hosting package is also very cheap. That means all your records are kept and backed up by the hosting company.

I've used 1&1 for some years with few problems.

MS Hosting

Their basic Windoows package is £6 amonth, Linux about half that, but you could find it cheaper elsewhere. 1&1 do state they back up the data at two different locations. Cheaper ones may not do that or provide the sort of reliability that 1&1 now seem to.
