| | | We have just disturbed a blackbirds nest! My husband was removing a very overgrown shrub in our back garden and a blackbirds nest came out with it all. It has 5 eggs in it :-( I we place it on a branch of the tree next to the now removed shrub, is there nay chance of the mother coming back and the little things surviving???? |

| | | Re: We have just disturbed a blackbirds nest! Blackbirds seem to be very fussy about being disturbed at the egg stage,so unfortunately could well abandon the nest. don't be too hard on yourselves though as if conditions are good, Blackbirds will rebuild and lay more eggs in a new spot. All you can do is retreat and watch from a distance and see what happens.
