Malt loaf!!

Random question but does anyone know if its ok to put malt loaf out for birds?!

I have some slightly out of date malt loaf but I didn't want to waste it.
Any suggestions?!

..I would be careful, 'cos it is a bit cloggy and might not get processed properly in the birds' crops..I personally would rather 'waste' it than take the risk.
If it's a bit dry, but it hadn't gone 'off' I would damp it, fry it in butter and have it for pudding. If it is OK to eat as it is I personally wouldn't take any notice of the 'best by' or 'use before' date, but I'm not saying you should think the same as me !..

If we had out-of-date malt loaf, we would feed it to our pigs or goats. It would proberly be ok to use for birds. \but I cant make any guarantees.

It should be fine for the birds as it mainly fruit the robins and blackbirds would go mad for it.
