| | | Pooh in big dollops under railings - who and what? These shots were taken near the Thames in the Docklands area of London. I assume these are bird droppings deposited by birds sat on the railings.
Can anyone tell me what birds might have left this mess? Also, what had they been feeding on? The edge of the camera case measures nearly three inches. I was wondering if they might be cherry stones.
Thanks as always.

looks a lot to be from your average blackbird .

| | | Re: Pooh in big dollops under railings - who and what? Yes most likely from a Corvid, but impossible to say which anyof the common species feed on cherry. Some birds i.e common gull get rid of pips as part of a pellet but I think these are weathered droppings. |

| | | Re: Pooh in big dollops under railings - who and what? You find these in loads of droppings, badger, fox, pine marten, hedgehog..... however there are usually other clues to aid idenification such as the rest of the dropping form, other contents in the dropping, if its in a latrine (in the case of badgers) and so on. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
