| | | Help - ENORMOUS bird droppings! Hello folks
I hope you might be able to help me.
I have a small urban garden with a large privet hedge which is currently home to a noisy troupe of sparrows, a robin, a couple of blackbirds and a pair of pigeons. i'm absurdly fond of all of them and have enjoyed watching them rear their young over the last few months.
The only other breed of bird I've spotted in the garden is a sparrowhawk, once, when it swooped in and carried off one of my little troupe
I do put out suet balls and occasionally I scatter a bit of seed on the paving stones. Recently I've started seeing the most ENORMOUS poos! http://i52.tinypic.com/zu11ec.jpg http://i54.tinypic.com/15psiae.jpg
... too big for a pigeon, surely? Do I have a mystery visitor? |

Interesting ! Obviously is a bird of some sort, I'm no expert, so I'll leave suggestions to the experts..Perhaps you are feeding them too well..

| | | Re: Help - ENORMOUS bird droppings! The 2nd photo looks like that of a wood pigeon. The 1st is a bit weird but could also be woodpigeon caecal dropping. Droppings vary considerably even within an individual depending on the time of year and the condition that the bird is in. |
