I heard about this on Radio 4 this morning - and I was interested n reading this on the website:

When it was first found in the UK in 2006 it seemed to be confined to south-east England, but has now spread further north and west.

It seems that we've been lucky (so far) - we've lived in Surrey for 20 years, and regularly see great tits on our feeders, but no sign of any diseased birds.

I think the only thing I can do is to keep my feeders clean and supply the healthy foods.

certainly was a good read... lucky , so far , touch wood and any other superstious sayings,the great tits around my immediate area seem to be ok....
Keep em clean campaign is what we need .
