Fun with Choughs!

Finally after a month indoors I got my hands on my camera and a day visit to South Stack where at first we failed to find the choughs - then as we were driving away we spotted 14 feeding in a field - distant but worth a couple of shots cos of the behaviour of the young - constant begging crying and mithering of the adults for food - if you think young gulls are a pest to their parents watch out for these guys - the poor adults must be deaf by bedtime!!!



After 15 mins of watching the above we drove off only for Ian to spot out of the corner of his eye a group of birds just over the gate in another field beside the road - and sure enough two of them were choughs and two were young jackdaws ..... the light was all wrong but we took a few anyway ....





Course its all backfired as my body wasn't ready for a full day out and I'm back confined to barracks but my mind feels better

Glad to see that you felt well enough to be out and about with the camera Pauline but DON'T OVERDO IT !!
