Just to day came across wrens nest with young chicks is is not a bit late for them,I spotted it wilst out fishing in roots of upturned tree when adult Kept buzzing pass me with food for chicks after seeing it I moved spots to leave them in peace the peg was fishing is not used that much,

They do regularly have a couple of broods. hopefully they'll be having a good season to compensate for those lost in the hard winter weather.

We've noticed some late ones around too. There was a newly fledged brood about last week, and in the last few days, we have noticed an old swallows nest in the corner of one of our barns has had moss added to it to close up the front, so they must be planning to use that too.
