| | | Re: Help with holiday bird First Photo is almost certainly a juvinile red backed shrike, they seem to be quite common in central europe.
We saw them in Czech Republic last time we were there. |

Only adult male Red-backed Shrikes have a noticeably rufous back, adult females look similar to juveniles but tend to be less 'scaly'.
