| | | ID Please We've just moved to Scotland and I am having trouble identifying this visitor to our garden, it's about the size of a Common Woodpecker, climbs and hangs off the trunk of the trees in a similar way to a woodpecker. Apologies for the poor photos, they were taken from quite away away through double glazing and it was raining quite hard.

We have lots of starlings in and out of the garden both juvenile and adults but this bird in a lot larger, a different shape and always alone which was why I thought it was not a starling at first. |
