What to feed sparrow fledgeling?

I have been hand rearing an orphan house sparrow for a week now. It came to me almost bald, but now it has many feathers and it will become a fledgeling soon.

I have been feeding it on cat food, suet and dried meal worms mixed together, but I think it will need more solid food soon.

I hear sparrows are seed eaters, should I just put some seeds in a bowl for it? I don't think it will understand what to do...

They need careful treatment in order to get them ready for release. It's not a case of simply letting them go - it wont stand a chance and your effort will be wasted.

Keep feeding it what you are, and when its tail grows to about an inch give it access to live mini mealworms so that t can learn to ctahc them. But you really must get it to someone experienced in order for it to be fit for release.
