Unknown Wader - ID please

This individual was being attacked constantly by Black Headed Gulls is it a juvenile GCGrebe ? Many thanks

I think this is a cattle Egret.

It is indeed a Cattle Egret. If it's a genuinely wild bird (which it might well be) it's a rarity and worth notifying the relevant County Recorder. County bird recorders | BTO - British Trust for Ornithology

It appears to be an adult in breeding plumage. Cattle Egrets bred for the first time in the UK (in Somerset) I think in 2008 (2 pairs I believe) + the following year there was also breeding, but don't think they did last year.

Nice find, they do turn up in Carmarthenshire and Gower from time to time, not seen one for a quite a few months though.

wow I was very struck to see this! They do pop up in this country now and again but what a wonderful find! Very rare, and beautiful
