| | | Another bird to identify please ... Photographed in a garden in Redditch, Worcestershire today. We've made a few suggestions, but what is it? |

| | | Re: Another bird to identify please ... Its wearing jessies (leather bands on its legs) so is an escapee. I guess maybe a Harris hawk but I'm no expert. Was it in your garden? If so, there may be a very worried falconer looking for it!
If you know where it is, or see it again, you can report it here: http://www.independentbirdregister.c...&%20Found.html
Looks as if there is already a listing for Worcester on 26.6.11. Did it have a visible ring on its leg? If so you can probably see the number with binoculars if you can get close enough.

| | | Re: Another bird to identify please ... Thanks for your replies, I wasn't 100% sure. I also thought I could see jessies on it's legs. Is it a young bird? Unusual to see a bird like this in a residential garden in Redditch (although we do get some oddities!)
Nice site, could (and probably will) spend hours pouring through these threads! |
