What is this bird call? Keeping me awake

Hi,

This bird is keeping us awake. I would like an expert opinion, if that's ok, as to what it is.

Can't seem to attach the audio file. Is there a way to do this?

I tend to upload to another site and post a link. Not ideal though as it's not entirely the correct thing to be doing. But I don't think you can upload a sound clip onto the WAB site.

ok, well it was a loud, constant, 2 note call, at about midnight. Sounded almost like a cry, or a very squeaky door.

Not much help I know without the soundfile.

That's it!! Mystery over. I suspected an owl, and it's identical to the juvenile begging call of the Tawny.

And there's me thinking they just go twit-a-hoo.
