| | | Dartford Warblers How are everyone's Dartfords faring this year. I have singularly failed to find one yet this year, a bit embarrassing when you consider I live in north Surrey.
Just hope Thursley turns up trumps at the weekend.
Cheers,

| | | Re: Dartford Warblers I've visited Iping common near Midhurst twice in the last month and both times have seen a small group of them (2/3 ) around the same gorse bush. Very cute and noisy little birds !

| | | Re: Dartford Warblers I went to arne a few weeks back for the first time and although it is a fantastic place i was a little dissapointed to see just a single bird that i heard before getting a short view, and many people i talked to had not seen any at all. |

Matt | Quite well - as told to me by the guys who lead the RSPB weekend walks across the heath.
I've only been on the heath since Spring for silver studded blue counts and saw none, but they like different parts of the habitat. |

| | | Re: Dartford Warblers Well the news isnt too bad down here (Studland Heath/Arne). They're seeable, just, and they are still about but in much reduced numbers.
On another species I saw a kingfisher at Studland for the first time since last October, that goes for everyone else that uses the hide as well, so they were hit very hard down here this last winter.
