| | | Bird Food - Northern Ireland Evening all,
During the harsh last winter I decided buying dribs and drabs of food from the local shop wasn't good enough and it was time to start buying in bulk. After some searching and asking I decided on Kennedy Wild Bird Food. I bought the economy mix as I am a student and that's all I could afford. This was £20.95 delivered in two days for no extra charge - brilliant. I then repeated this a couple months later, excellent. Now a couple weeks ago when ordered the exact same thing, the exact same way to the exact same place I am told because I live in Northern Ireland I have to pay an extra £18.74 just for delivery.
Is this the norm? I live 30 mins from Belfast, a major city, not at the Northern tip of Shetland or anything. Will other companies charge the same? Should I just start looking for a company based in NI?
Thanks for your time |

| | | Re: Bird Food - Northern Ireland This was online, and I looked at loads of different websites and these guys seemed to be the cheapest, well they were until these extra charges came about, and the service was excellent.
When asked why the last two times I didn't have to pay this extra charge, apparently my orders had somehow "slipped through the net" |

many local garden centres stock bird food.
If you,or someone you know . are passing Belvoir Forest Park,RSPB HQ have great big bags of it and order it in also.
Buy it there and save the p and p.
Best

| | | Re: Bird Food - Northern Ireland Honestly I just buy from pet stores....go into places like poundland, B&Q, pets at home, and just small local pet shops, they tend to have good ranges of bird food. It's where I buy mine. I live near Comber out in the countryside so this is usually the easiest way. |

| | | Re: Bird Food - Northern Ireland @Elvis - thanks for the suggestion about Belvoir, I pass through now and again because of work, I'll have a look next time.
@The_Doctor - I wanted to buy in bulk because the numerous trips to local shops to buy small amounts was getting too expensive / time wasting. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
