Birds in Cornwall

We just got back from a weeks holiday in Cornwall, and I thought I'd post some of the birds we managed to photograph- nothing exciting, I'm afraid!

Still, I thought I'd share anyway... and I was quite pleased to see so many finches, because we never get them at home.

The last bird is a finch - so you got half way there,

but its a linnet a lovely male in breeding plumage.

Where do you live? Because its very possible both can be found nearby. Certainly chaffinch anyway.

We live in North London, and despite having numerous feeders of all sorts we've not seen any finches at all... the niger seed feeder is the one thing that never needs topping up, but am still hoping.
A flock of long-tailed tits seems to have taken up residence since yesterday, so maybe the word will spread.
