....sometimes they seem to be taking the mick!!!
I have a pair which have successfully raised a fledgling & while not 'tame' they do appear whenever I go out the back door. I supply soaked sultanas & a few odd & sods (not too much, I don't want them to rely on me, just a few to supplement their diet).
Anyway, I've recently redesigned my wildlife pond, by putting more turf down around the edges & using the ex edging flat rocks in a pile by the pond to create a refuge for anything that wants to use it, hopefully my newts will use it in the winter. So after a long hard day of shifting stuff etc I finally finished & after giving everthing a good watering, went back inside to make myself a well earned cuppa. Looked out the kitchen window, & there they were, both parents enthusiastically destroying my carefully laid turf, stuff was flying everywhere

! I banged on the window & shouted "OI!", the male looked up as if to say 'what?' & then just carried on, sigh.....
Oh well, at least hopefully I've provided some extra worms etc for them
I've just planted a load of lavender in a different part of the garden, I'm not even going to bother looking.....
I luv 'em but honestly.....
