Hi all,you know when you get one of those moments when you are out walking with your binoculars and suddenly you see a bird that you havent seen before except in a field guide or book, well i had that with 2 birds last week, thay werent exotic but they could of been for me, they were the jay and the greater spotted woodpecker. ive spent sometime away form the twitching for many years so it was nice to return with a bang

Hi Jimmy, welcome to WAB
It`s always great to spot things that you have only seen in books before. It can obviously work for all aspects of wildlife & it is surprising what can stick in your head sometimes & when you see it you just might be able to name it
