baby starlings and a budgie :O

I was in the back garden taking a few photos of the baby starlings when all of a sudden a budgie flew in and started feeding from my feeders :O .
Am i right in thinking it wont survive in the wild?

I don't think a budgie would survive the winter.

if it learns to be a bit 'street wise' and becomes accustomed to finding food and water plus a suitable roosting place it could survive even into winter as they are ok down to below freezing, it's biggest enemies are the raptors as they tend to be easy prey because of their colouring they stand out more. we had an escapee come into our garden after perhaps hearing our birds as we have a few assorted 'rescued' aviary birds in a large flight that we got from someone who could no longer look after them and it was about quite along time before it disappeared it avoided our attempts to capture it as it seemed to enjoy its freedom.
