| | | Little Owl I am so thrilled as I have just seen a Little Owl in a tree.  This is the first one I have seen on the farm since we lost a lot of our big trees to Dutch Elm Disease in the 70s. Fingers crossed that it has a nest somewhere nearby. |

I have had potential sightings here, but nothing definite. They have a bit of a crazy flight reserved for long distances I think. This can be a giveaway. Otherwise, I seem to remember that they do have their favourite trees (the ones I knew loved ivy and sunlight). I'll find them again one day. |

| | | Re: Little Owl Glad to hear you've had a repeat sighting, it does lend credence to a roosting site close by. I hope your able to get a few Photo's of the little guy, wouldn't mind seeing them in the wild, only ever seen captive variants.
