House Sparrow using Old House Martin nest
A local house with last years' House Martins nest appears to be in use by House Sparrows.

Anyone else seen this locally?

Years ago at a place I worked there were several House Martin nests which were eventually taken over by House Sparrows. By the time I left there were no breeding House Martins or House Sparrows.

Yes, don't know if it's normal but I've noticed this in the house over the road from us this year. Got to respect that, get someone else to do all the hard work and then just pop yourself into a lovely fully built new abode! Clever sparrows
