| | | Long tailed tit fighting Observed two long tailed tits yesterday whilst walking in woodland near Ripley. They were on the ground, wrestling and frantically pecking at each other. This went on for some time - even when we were only a couple of feet away. Is this usual for this time of year? territorial? sexual behaviour? Anyone witnessed anything similar? |

If anything though I'd imagine it was territorial more than anything else.
