Red Kite with "clips"
Hi all, anyone know what the "clips" are in the wings of this Red Kite? I've played around with the pic (which isn't great to start with!) so they can be seen on each wing. Presumably it's a tag of some sort

They're patagial wing tags. The flap with the number/code is on the upper wing. The bits you can see here are the lower fastenings.

Brilliant, thanks. According to the tag regisiter this bird is 11 years old & originates from the Chilterns - which makes sense as I saw it in Herts.
