| | This morning in Scotney Pits Camber Went for a bike ride early this morning and saw some interesting birds:-
1. Greylag geese with goslings
2. Brent geese
3. Bar-tailed Godwit
4. Oyster catcher
5. Common Terns
6. Great crested grebe
7. Ringed plover
and these ones - which were too far away to get a good picture - so if anyone can identify them, would be interested to know.

| | | Re: This morning in Scotney Pits Camber Are you sure the Brent Geese weren't Barnacle Geese. I was there yesterday and saw no Brents, which would be on their arctic breeding grounds now. There are resident Barnacle Geese there.
Cheers,

Without a photo it could be either, though they are distinct. I've seen a few Brents lingering into May before so I wouldn't discount it. |

Here is a picture. Sorry I took so long to reply - had been too busy with work and fighting with plumbers
So am I right? | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
