I have seen a Cuckoo at last

Not in my home area but at Steart, near Burnham On Sea, somerset I have seen a Cuckoo. This bird would be usrely attratced by the warblers nests in the reeds in this location but after a few years of seeing and hearing noting this was a good day to hear the distinct sound again.

Nice find jerry. I saw my first ever Cuckoo last year. I`ve heard a few this year but have yet to see one

spent nigh on an hour watching one calling it's head off at rspb old moor yesterday,

last year didn't manage to see one till mid august while sat on a boat in the middle of hickling broad,

so far i've heard 2 one at titchwell and one at home plus had one fly alongside the car in norfolk and that one yesterday, bumper year for me this one

We have a cuckoo very local to us here. Its been returning for several years and I have never managed to see it....... its back this year as it was calling the other day...... might have to make a concerted effort to get out and search for it this year......

they're not massively secretive when calling.

the one i was watching yesterday for instance was sat right on top of a dead tree which was just about an exposed a site as it's possible to get.

I've been lucky + seen Cuckoos each of the last 3 weekends I've been out, though have missed them on my local patches.

Two male cuckoos here on thursday and the distinct bubbling sound of the female yesterday and I'm pretty sure I saw her in flight too.

Heard my first cuckoo on Thursday but I have never seen one.
