Oddly enough I saw exactly the same thing at the London Wetlands Centre earlier today. I too thought it a bit unusual! |

What is a Dabchick when it grows up?
I have the MacMillan Guide to Birds of Britain and Europe, can not find any bird called a Dab, I only know a fish called a dab..well not personaly.
Mind you that's one mouthful..great shot.
