| | | Highland Red Kite Feeder Anybody living near or visiting the Inverness area might like to visit the Red Kite feeding station at Tollie, not quite up to Gigrin standards but still worth a visit. Eyes To The Skies |

| | | Re: Highland Red Kite Feeder I was up there towards the end of March, I think there were about 7 Red Kites, 3 Buzzards and an assortment of Hooded and Carrion Crows. It has only being going for a year or so, it will take a little while to build up. There were quite a lot of birds in the nearby woodland as well, I'll certainly be back.
Regards, Audrey.

| | | Re: Highland Red Kite Feeder Right, Iv`e noticed an increase in Red Kites in the area just this year. Now I know why. I saw one South of Brora area just last week so they are getting around a bit. Presumably winter feeding is the time to go. I will put this in my diary for my trips South in the winter.

| | | Re: Highland Red Kite Feeder Winter feeding was getting up to 25 birds, now the breeding season in well on the way we are getting a lot less, I think eight was the best in the last few weeks. Still well worth a visit if you are passing to see such a great bird 30 or 40 feet over your head. |

| | | Re: Highland Red Kite Feeder This is on my home patch, litterally a couple miles up the road.
Unfortunately had to move away for a year last summer before it got going, only had a chance to get up and see the new building. Looking forward to seeing it when I am back home this Autumn. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
