It's a hide built by a guy I've never met but we have a mutual acquaintance in a fella I used to go to school with and it was he who told me about it. It's no more than 3 miles from home and is even on my route home from work. Perfect!
He's made a pretty good job of it incorporating the trunks of two living willows and has put in spare chairs, the plastic type from school assemblies,and there are buckets of feeds and fat-balls handy as well. I assume the guy must visit it regularly cos the feeders he has mounted all around the area are kept stocked. The hide's situated in mixed conifer and deciduous woodland within about 50 metres of open moorland so you get a fair mix of birds not to mention squiggles. I hope to meet this guy sometime just to let him know that his work's appreciated. Maybe someday. O.k gotta go now, it's gettin' late. Cyalater.
