Morning all,
This may not be a great shot as great shots go, but after 6 years of soft images from my Tamron 28-300mm, Im quite pleased with this 100% crop from my new Tamron 90mm macro. Sooooo sharp !

Well done David, I know your frustration!!
I managed to get my first Sedge Warbler pics yesterday (75-300mm), I'm hoping for better ones! 
Look forward to seeing more from you

Oops so it is! Will have to keep trying with the Sedge then, at least I got the Reed now

Nige | Though you can see them in the reeds,Sedge Warblers are often seen singing from bushes in + around reedbeds- often with a little display flight like a Whitethroat. I've also found them singing in fields of Oil-seed Rape. |

I'll keep a lookout in bushes. I've seen loads of Sedge before, I think with this bird I was so surprised to see it where I did and that it was quite confiding I overlooked it! It was singing very similar to a Sedge too (I know their songs are similar), I need to listen more carefully
