| | | Peregrine falcon sighted at portsmouth Whilst sitting in the gardens at Gosport alongside the ferry point we noticed a PEREGRINE sitting on the Pall Europe building opposite. It sat there for at least an hour on the letter A of PALL. We hoped it would go into action but it never all the time we were observing. Probably got a nest as it looked like a jumble of twigs from that range.
Just thought we would share this sighting in case anybody is around that area and wants to confirm this with us. |

| | | Re: Peregrine falcon sighted at portsmouth Dictated this to my wife and mentioned what looked like an old nest. Unfortunately in her haste she took my meaning the wrong way.
Might have been an old nest but as far as I know Ravens do not build nests on slab sided buildings, whereas many raptors do.
Will have to make a return journey very soon to confirm and maybe get closer than we were for a definite ID, perhaps it was not a nest after all. Just a jumble of detritous caught in the wiring of the lettering. Too far to ID correctly. |

| | | Re: Peregrine falcon sighted at portsmouth I have seen 7 in about 4 months now. Not sure why this has happened. i have spent years trying to see this falcon and now I am seeing them with great frequency. I'm not saying where as I don't want to let the baddies to know where. Happy days!
