Hello, have just signed up to this forum, and have come across your posting, that hopefully i can help with, the boats that operate from Portree ( there are 3 from 2 operators) should display a operators code drawn up by RSPB and SNH, these codes are signed by the skippers involved and will show any customer the distance that the boat should be from the nest site to avoid unecessary disturbance.this is 300mtrs from the nest during most of the spring and summer relaxing a bit after fledging.if you are closer than 300 mtrs then the boat/skipper is in breach of the code. hope this helps (not sure if the code is available on line, but might be worth looking)
