| | | Blue Tit nest Ill have to get a picture, but in the mean time has any one got any theories or ever seen/heard anything similar. I was checking my boxes tonight in a wood where I have a lot up and one had a Blue Tit nest in with the first egg laid. Nothing unusual there, but the nest has been built right up with in a couple of inches of the hole. They must have gathered an incredible amount of material as the box is about 10 inches deep! I have seen 100s of Blue Tit nests in boxes, but this is a first. Any ideas any one? |

| | | Re: Blue Tit nest Not the case mate as I clean all my boxes out every year. Its totally weird. I reckon when it has young the Woodpecker will be able to reach them from the hole! Ill get a photo this week and post it. |

| | | Re: Blue Tit nest Back in 2003 a great spotted woodpecker took 3 of our 5 bluetit chicks from one of our nest boxes, shortly before they were due to fledge - and this was from a "normal" nest. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
