| | | Re: Baby thrush...best food...worms or kitten food? Sadly she didn't make it. I did have her on a wrapped hot water bottle and it is always very warm in my house. I took her to bed with me so I could keep an eye on her and hear her.
She was handed in to the vets by a young girl who saw a cat attacking her and she had a wound on her. I guess the shock of everything was just far too much for such a baby?
She most reminded me of a baby thrush I successfully raised and released last year (also attacked by a cat). The first bird I saved (successful outcome) was a crow and I've also had success with pigeons, doves, jackdaw. My vet recently saved an owl.
Would you know of any rehabilitation places local to Kent please?
Also would you know where I could obtain some kind of incubator to keep the babies warm? I am very keen to save these babies where I can but at the same time knowing my limitations (which is why I turned down the offer of the owl).
Oh and thank you for recognising her as a blackbird. |

Again, talk to St Tiggywinkles and ask their advice. They're the experts. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
